NYIT Defeats Alderson-Broaddus In Consolation Round Of Lock Haven Tournament

Gordon Named to All-Tournament Team
Lock Haven, PA: A back-and-forth tussle for the win in the Carol Eckman Classic Consolation game ended in the favor of the Lady Bears from New York Institute of Technology, 82-71, over Alderson-Broaddus College.  The Lady Bears overcame a 45-41 halftime deficit and after six second-half lead changes, took over for good at the six-minute mark before the 11-point victory.  Five NYIT players registered double-figure scoring, led by 17 points and 13 rebounds by Georgia Gordon.  Gordon, who averaged a double-double for the tournament, received All-Tournament honors. Tamika Cox added 16 points and eight boards, while Christina Papadopoulou contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Leading Alderson-Broaddus was Lisa Davis with 19 points, including five three-pointers.
