NYIT Avenges Early Season Loss With 66-61 Victory
Over Concordia
Bronxville, NY: After trailing by 13 points at halftime, NYIT put together a stellar second
half and earned a 66-61 victory over Concordia College. NYIT (11-12, 10-10 NYCAC) outscored the Lady Clippers by 18 points in
the second half and their defense held Concordia (5-19, 5-16 NYCAC) to a 36%
field goal shooting percentage.
Tamika Cox (Long Island City, NY) recorded her second double-double of the season,
scoring a team 17 points and grabbing a team high 11 rebounds. Georgia Gordon (St. Ann, Jamaica) and Christina
Papadapoulou (Nicosia, Cyprus) chipped in with 14 points a piece. Gordon also
grabbed 10 rebounds.
Monique Mighty led the Lady
Clippers, recording game highs of 18 points and 12 rebounds.
