NYIT Falls To Concordia 58-52

Old Westbury, NY: Concordia College defeated NYIT 58-52 in a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference action today. Four players scored in double figures for the Lady Clippers as they improved to 3-8 on the season 3-5 in the NYCAC. NYIT dropped their sixth straight decision, falling to 4-7 on the season, 3-5 in the NYCAC.

 

Concordia went into halftime with a 29-23 advantage and held on as the two teams played an even second half. Candace Rose and Monique Mighty led Concordia with 13 points a piece.

 

NYIT’s Tamika Cox (Long Island City, NY) scored a game high 16 points and Georgia Gordon (St. Ann, Jamaica) recorded her ninth double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

 

NYIT returns to action on Thursday, January 16 when they host to Philadelphia University for a 5:00 pm game.
