NYIT Mission of Advising:
The New York Institute of Technology
recognizes
that developmental advising is a critical component of the educational
experience of all its students. Developmental
advising encourages students to develop decision-making skills, to think
critically about goals and objectives, and to assume responsibility for
their actions and plans. NYIT
offers a range of academic advising resources that include faculty
advising, the central advising center, advising website, on-line degree
maps and the college catalogue, which will assist
students in making meaningful educational plans that are compatible with
their career goals.
