As young adults, students must assume responsibility for the completion of all courses an ultimately the attainment of their desired degree.  At NYIT students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor and faculty mentor at least once per semester.  Additional student responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  1. Willingness to assume responsibility for his or her own growth and development

  2. Be receptive to feedback and coaching

  3. Accurately prepare all forms.

  4. Ask questions.

  5. Be familiar with the College catalog.

  6. Be familiar with the Colleges policies, procedures and important dates.

  7. Know what School and major you are enrolled in.

  8. Know your degree requirements.

  9. Pay attention to schedules, deadlines and appointments.
