The Culinary Arts
Center at the New York Institute of
Technology offers interactive distance learning sessions
presented
by certified professional instructors.
Originating in our professional studio on the Central Islip campus, learners will be transported into a real working kitchen. They will see demonstrations of principles and techniques necessary in each lesson. |

Classrooms are connected through ISDN or Internet 1 technology. The instructors are “in the classroom” with learners. Participants work along with the instructors to achieve the maximum benefit from each lesson. Pre-work assignments aid in learner comprehension. Web searches, work sheets, and support material are distributed prior to lesson. Off site instructors give continuous guidance throughout the sessions. Questions and answers flow freely in this interactive environment. |
