Troops to Teachers is
a joint U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense
program that helps eligible military personnel leaving the armed forces begin a new
career in teaching at public schools, where their skills,
knowledge, and experience are most needed. New York Institute
of Technology (NYIT) has created a nationally recognized program
leading to a Master of Science in childhood education to prepare
candidates to teach in grades 1 through 6.
