English Major: Professional Writing Concentration

The professional writing program at NYIT prepares students for careers in technical and business writing. Our courses are specifically designed to prepare students for the challenges of technical and business communications in an employment marketplace that currently relies upon traditional modes of print production as well as advancements in computer publishing and Web (hypertextual) designs.

Students who are candidates for the Bachelor of Science in English Education may select Professional Writing as one of their 15 credit subspecialties.

Students pursuing the Professional Writing concentration may also be interested in completing the Technical Writing Certificate.
