The Writing Center at NYiT
The Writing Center serves students, faculty, and staff of NYiT, providing tutorial assistance for all types of writing assignments and tasks. Come to the Writing Center and speak with professors of English about your writing. We can help you brainstorm your assignment, review a draft, develop your ideas, and address grammar questions.
Wireless Laptop Writing Lab
At the Old Westbury Writing Center, located in room 100 Balding House, students can work on laptop computers to draft assignments and research the Internet through a wireless Internet connection. This is a quiet and comfortable space in which to work. You can spread your work out on large tables, or you can sit in cozy, cushy chairs and do your work. Also, feel free to talk to our professor tutors as you are working on your assignments.
This wireless laptop lab is open Mondays-Fridays, from 10am to 4pm.
Please bring a valid NYiT ID card to reserve a laptop.
