Career Summary:
Professor Prohaska received his BS in Visual Art from Empire
State College (ESC). After working as an artist and art director for several
New York and
Long Island advertising agencies, studios and companies, he started his
own full-service advertising agency called Pro/Advertising.
His professional activities include past membership in the Art Directors
Club of Long Island where he served as Program Chairman and Chairman of the
Education Committee. He served as President from 1979 to 1981.
He is also a member of the National Art League.
Professor Prohaska is still operating an advertising agency and teaches graphic design at NYIT and Empire State College. He is also a consultant on students’ degree programs to evaluate life-learning experience at ESC. In addition, he conducts portfolio reviews at Adelphi University.
He began painting with watercolors in 1980 and since has learned to work with computer graphics. His present focus and enjoyment comes from painting.

Professor Prohaska has exhibited his designs in the Floral Park Council of Cultural Affairs and sells his work in the Nassau County Museum of Art museum store.
