Career Summary:
Terry Nauheim received her MFA in mixed media/digital arts in 2001 at University
of Maryland where she was the Graduation “Graduate Student Speaker.” She
earned her BFA in painting at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri
in 1992 where she was granted a William Fett Drawing Award.
As an instructor, she has taught digital and studio art courses at Harvestworks,
New York University's Center for Advanced Digital Applications, New York
Insitute of Technology, Pratt Institute, and University of Maryland (Baltimore
County
and College Park). She was recently the featured instructor for “Inside
Editing: Premiere Pro,” a DVD-based tutorial series. Ms. Nauheim has
also managed exhibition and design projects at the Contemporary Museum; the
Walters Art Museum; and University of Maryland.
Her drawings and installations have been exhibited at the Bronx Museum
of the Arts; the Contemporary Museum; Delaware Center for Contemporary
Arts;
Musée
Art Contemporain Lyon; Nomads, a web-based "audiophile", and
Works/San Jose. She is a recent participant of the Bronx Museum of the
Arts "Artist
in the Marketplace" program. In 2002, she received the Maryland State
Arts Council Individual "New Genre" Artist award. She is currently
participating in a New York City-wide festival, “New Sounds, New
Spaces,” as
an exhibiting artist at the Sculpture Center in Long Island City, New York.
