Middle East
The Fine Arts department is pleased to announce the launch of its International Exchange Program and the opening of new Fine Arts facilities on NYIT's newest campuses in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Amman, Jordan. The Fine Arts department is the first to bring computer graphics and graphic design programs to these rapidly-growing population centers and economic hubs. These Middle East programs build on the success of the BFA curricula proven at NYIT's New York campuses. Students attending any NYIT campus may take classes towards their degrees at any other NYIT campus, thus facilitating an international perspective invaluable in today's global marketplace.
NYIT recently opened the doors of a new Fine Arts Building on the Amman campus. Locally known as D Building, its facilities include two computer labs equipped for computer graphics courses, two studios (one drawing and painting studio with easels and basins, and one foundations studio) and five classrooms.
Each Computer lab contains twenty PCs with network and internet connections allowing students access to HP Scanjet 2400 and medium format HP Designjet 30 printers. A data projector (and accompanying PC) is available for lectures and presentations in the computer labs and classrooms.
The Fine Arts Building also contains a central office, two lightwell patios and an art gallery.
These state-of-the-art facilities including the new Graphic Arts Center in Amman, Jordan is pictured below.
The newly-opened Fine Arts facilities in Bahrain feature two computer graphics rooms each with twenty-four PC workstations, a large art gallery, and two 1,000 square foot studios for painting, drawing and foundations courses.
