Contributing to a safer and healthier world
 
 

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students, I am greatly honored, as dean, to welcome you to the School of Health Professions, Behavioral and Life Sciences (HPBLS). Our school offers an exceptional blend of programs leading to baccalaureate degrees and options in biology, bioengineering, chemistry, criminal justice, nursing, nutrition science, psychology, and sociology/social work, as well as master’s degrees in nutrition science, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies and human relations, and entry-level and post-graduate professional doctoral degrees in physical therapy. In addition, the school offers combined BS-MS degrees leading to careers in occupational therapy and physician assistant practice, combined BS-DPT degree for persons wishing to become physical therapists, combined BS-JD degree in criminal justice and law offered in collaboration with Tuoro College, and combined BS-DO and MS-DO programs leading to the practice of osteopathic medicine. The latter two degree programs are offered jointly with NYIT’s New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Collectively, our programs focus on Life, Behavior and Health, and are unique, being representative of the spectrum of knowledge needed to support optimal human function. With this array of programs, the school provides direct access to a seamless variety of personally rewarding and exciting professions for high school graduates, transfer students and university graduates from everywhere in the world.
