1. Searching for Periodicals.
To see a NYIT library branch subscribes to, or has holdings of, a particular periodical title, perform a title search in the NYIT Library Catalog. If a journal is available a listing will appear indicating i)
the library branch location, ii) available years, and iii) format. Also, it is very important to remember that a large number of periodicals are available electronically through the library's subscribtion databases.

2. Locating Periodicals
Periodical holdings are available in many formats (
microfilm, microfiche, hardcopy and electronic), each format with its own location.

t is significant to remember that current issues of many periodicals are located on reserve and may be obtained at the circulation desk. Below is an alphabetical listing of periodicals currently located on reserve.

4. Intercampus Document Delivery
Question: I require an article from a journal that is not located at the Manhattan Library, but at one of the four other NYIT branch libraries.
Answer: If you require an article from a journal that is located at one of Manhattan's four other branch libraries (Wisser Library, Education Hall Library, NYCOM Library, Central Islip Library), ask a librarian and s/he will arrange to have the article delivered to Manhattan.


5. Interlibrary Loan
Question: I require an article from a journal that is not located at any NYIT Library branch.
Answer: If you require an article from a journal that is not located at any NYIT Library, you may employ the services of Interlibrary Loan. To avoid delays it is important that you check the NYIT Library Catalog to see if the item is available within the NYIT library system before submitting Interlibrary Loan requests.
