Autism Speaks Requires Grant Recipients to Post Research Papers in PubMed

Effective December 3, 2008, all researchers who receive Autism Speaks grants are required to deposit any resulting peer-reviewed research papers in the PubMed Central online archive. Assessing the Nation’s Health Literacy

A full report on the 2003 study which included investigation of health literacy in the USA was published in late 2008. Three types of task were used to measure health literacy: Clinical tasks (e.g. involving medication); Preventive tasks (selfcare, healthy habits etc.); Navigation tasks (negotiating your way around the health system - which in the USA includes more stuff to do with health insurance). Profiling the 2008 Entering Class of Osteopathic Medical Students 

The nation’s colleges of osteopathic medicine reports a total of 4,575 first-time 2008 matriculants to the 24 osteopathic colleges and three branch campuses that are part of the AACOMAS application process which represents an increase of 21 percent since 2006. To read more click here.
