What's New in Ovid This summer, Ovid Technologies implemented a new interface. You will notice more color and graphics. While the databases function the same, the new look is offering three new features to get to article citations quickly. The new methods of searching literature including: Find Citation: Located above the search box on the main search page, allows you to link easily to a Medline citation when you have an incomplete citation, such as an author name and page number. Find Similar: After you have run a search, this link appears below each citation on the results list. It functions like PubMed Related Articles. By clicking on it, you can search for related articles using an algorithm based in part on keywords rather than in subject headings. The most relevant citations will display first. Find Citing Articles: Clicking on this link takes you to articles available through Journals @Ovid. These journals only go back to 1993, and are mostly clinical journals. We hope that you find the new interface easier and more powerful in its functionality. If you need any help, please call the Circulation Desk at 686-3743. Linscott's Directory of Immunological and Biological Reagents is now available online free of charge for all users. It provides unlimited free use of the entire Directory to more than 110,000 listings of sources for antibodies, cytokines, immunoassay kits, recombinant proteins, enzymes, microbial antigens, tissues, organs, lab animals, contract services and many other items of interest to the biomedical researchers, with direct link to supplier web pages and phone/fax/address details as well. Just click on Linscottsdirectory.

These are all available through Medical library's website. We would like to request our faculty, staff, and students send us recommendations of print or electronic materials. Whether the library can honor all recommendations will depend on the budget and other selection criteria, but your input is important to our collection development process. Please contact the chief librarian. | ||
