October is NMLM!!

National Medical Library Month was created about ten years ago by the Medical Library Association to raise awareness of the important role of the health information professional.

In honoring National Medical Libraries Month we invite you to browse the History of Medicine Collections by the National Library Medicine.

NYCOM Library is running a Guess The Weight of a Pumpkin Contest to celebrate the NMLM. Entries can be submitted by October 31 and the drawing will be held on November 1st. The winner will be awarded a prize!

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns".
--George Eliot

We all get questions for "Instructions to Authors" once in a while. Sometimes it's even for a journal that we own. Mulford Library of Medical College of Ohio has provided links to a multitude of medical journals.

Instructions for Authors in the Health Sciences

Simply follow these steps:

A message from your Inter-Library Loan Desk

It has come to our attention that some students who want to get their ILL article electronically, prefer their personal e-mail account. Most of the time the article is being deleted by their error as junk within their bulk mail.

To resolve this issue, we only take your NYIT e-mail account to process your ILL requests. Please make sure your account is active and your mail box has enough space.

Lost and Found Box

The library's lost and found box, located at the left side of the Circulation Desk is getting full with all sorts of unclaimed items, such as keys, cell phone, coffee mug, class notes and more.

Please make sure at your next stop to the library, you take a glance at this box, you may find what you've been looking for!!
