MDConsult Access

We have received many phone calls for having problems accessing MDCounsult off-campus. This could be related to upgrading the database by the vendor according to our contact with MDConsult. We are still investigating the issue and will try to get the problem resolved ASAP.

Holiday Hours

NYCOM Medical Library will be closed November 22 through 26 due to the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. We will resume our normal hours on Monday, November 27.

	NLM Gateway The NLM Gateway is a Web-based system that lets users search simultaneously in multiple retrieval systems at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). It allows users of NLM services to initiate searches from one Web interface, providing "one-stop searching" for many of NLM's information resources or databases, including: Bibliographic resources such as Medline, PubMed, and more. Consumer health resources such as health topics, drug information, medical encyclopedia DIRLINE and more. Other information resources. Enter your term in the search box and search across the all NLM resources.
	OSTMED.DR OstMed database is being updated and digitized with funding made available by Dean Dixie Tooke-Rawlins, DO, and VCOM. The transfer of the OstMed database was approved by AOA and the database moved in April 2006. VCOM is partnering with VTLS, Inc. to develop this project. OstMed has been renamed OSTMED.DR but OSTMED builds on the older database. The new OstMed will provide full-text access to the osteopathic literature and will contain historic osteopathic materials in addition to the current literature.
