UpToDate Introduces Graphics Search: The new Graphic Search feature provides quick and easy access to over 23,000 authoritative graphics including pictures, table, figures, graphs, algorithms and movies.

To view graphics, enter your topics in the search box and then select "Graphics" under "All Topics" by clicking on the arrow menu bar :

or if you already are at the search result page, look on the left hand navigation menu to the topic outline and select "Graphics". You will be able to export, print or email graphics as needed. UpToDate is available via library webpage.


Best Practices for Mixed Methods Research in the Health Sciences

Mixed Methods Research combines the strengths of quantitative research and qualitative research. The National Institutes of Health released recommendations or best practices for scientists conducting Mixed Methods Health Research. The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR), part of NIH, identified the need for this guidance and commissioned the report.

Dermatology Image Atlas

DermaAtlas is funded by physician-authors Cohen and Lehmann, and the bandwidth is provided by Johns Hopkins University. It includes more than 12,500 high quality dermatology images that have been submitted by healthcare professionals.
The Index menu option offers a quick, comprehensive list by Categories, Diagnoses, or Body Sites. The unique Homunculus search allows users to rotate and click on an area of the body to display related images. Two of the menu options offer unique educational experiences helpful to those learning to diagnose and handle dermatological problems. It also includes the Advanced Search and Differential Diagnosis. Images are displayed ten per page with links to previous and next results. Clicking on an individual image displays detailed information, including links to other sites such as PubMed , MedlinePlus, eMedicine, e-journals and other databases.To access DermaAtlas click here.
