NYIT Library is Beta Test Site

The NYIT libraries have been chosen by the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) as a beta test site for a new Web-based search feature: Link to MY Library. ERIC, sponsored by the U. S. Department of Education, produces the world's premier database of educational literature containing 1.1 million citations and over 107,000 full-text, non-journal documents.

The Link to My Library feature, based on Open URL technology, enables MY ERIC users to seamlessly link to electronic full-text resources available from the user's affiliated library. Members of the NYIT community can sign up for a free MY ERIC account on the ERIC Web site. The new Link to My Library feature is currently being beta tested by selected libraries including NYIT. ERIC users at NYIT can conduct a search while logged into the MY ERIC area of the ERIC Web site and link directly from the search results to the library's full-text resources. This will greatly help users at NYIT access full-text journal articles.
