The
Department of Biomedical Sciences is committed to training
osteopathic physicians for a lifetime of medical practice
and learning based on established scientific principles and
critical thinking.
The Department
will provide a firm educational foundation of basic biomedical
science knowledge as part of the NYCOM mission of the continuum
of learning. This Department has been established as an organization
of faculty who teach in several basic science disciplines,
including biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, pathology,
pharmacology, and physiology.
The Department
shall promote the general welfare of the members and provide
for communication among the members and between the members
and the Chair.
The Department
will provide a forum for discussions and proposals pertaining
to education, research and other scholarly activities, faculty
development, and issues of importance to the group and to
NYCOM in general. |
