Title: Team Leader - Blue Space
Bio: Bill Brady, A.I.A.S., is an architecture team leader. Bill joined the NYIT Solar Decathlon Team in spring 2004. Most of his time has been devoted to developing the preliminary NYIT design. His principal activities include oversight of the structural design of Blue Space portion of the house and organization of the working drawings. Bill graduated from Hauppauge High School and spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. Bill will graduate summa cum laude in spring 2005 with a bachelor's degree in architecture.
   
Dave Bulatowicz Name: David Bulatowicz
Title: Team Leader - Logistics and Financial
Bio: David Bulatowicz, logistics coordinator for the Solar Decathlon team, is a fourth-year architecture student. David graduated from Wagner High School, Staten Island, N.Y., in 1998, and from the College of Staten Island in 2001.
   
Mike Catalano Name: Michael Catalano
Title: Team Leader - Green Machine
Bio: Michael Catalano, a team leader, is a fourth-year architecture student. He is president of the American Institute of Architecture Students at the Central Islip campus and member of the executive board of an international fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. He has a background in carpentry, art and design. Michael works with architects and enjoys transforming his ideas into tangible work. His goal is to create a sustainable environment for the masses. He graduated from East Islip High School in 2000.

Paul Curcio Name: Paul Curcio
Title: Construction / Drafting
Bio: Paul Curcio, a third-year architecture major, is working on the Green Machine part of the house. He has helped produce drawings and will participate in the house construction. Paul got involved because of his great interest in sustainable architecture.
   
Mike Fahie Name: Mike Fahie
Title: Team Leader - Breezeway
Bio: Michael Fahie of Mastic Beach , N.Y. , is a fifth-year architecture student. He helped create the construction drawings for the house and is participating in the build. He joined NYIT's Solar Decathlon team because he wants to make a difference in the field of architecture.
   
Eric Heuler Name: Erik Heuler
Title: Construction / Drafting
Bio: Erik Heuler of Bayshore , N.Y. , is a fourth-year architecture student. Involved in the Solar Decathlon team from the beginning, he has worked on design development and looked for ways to naturally ventilate the house.
   
Heather Korb Name: Heather Korb
Title: Team Leader - Architecture
Bio: Heather Korb is one of the original designers of NYIT's solar house, Green Machine/Blue Space. A third-year architecture student, she is passionate about exploring alternative ways of living harmoniously with the Earth. Heather graduated from Smithtown High School and will graduate with an Architecture degree in 2007.

Bio: Erik is wrapping up his undergraduate studies at NYIT's four-year Architecture program this semester. His involvement in the Solar Decathlon has been consistent from initial designs to fabrication. Erik graduated from Shoreham-Wading River High School and currently resides in Shoreham, NY.
   
Richard Merlau Name: Richard Merlau
Title: Construction / Drafting
Bio: Richard Merlau, a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Architecture program, graduated from Brockport HS, Brockport, NY. He plans to focus on sustainable public buildings. Richard was the architecture graphics team leader for a semester, creating 3-dimensional graphics of the NYIT Solar Decathlon design. Richard also worked during the design development and construction phases.

Bio: Marcus Salva is simulateously working on a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Spring 2006) and a M.S. in Energy Management (Fall 2006). He is focusing his education towards sustainable development and plans to continue onto law school to study policy which can be applied to sustainable development.
   
Jerry Stramowski Name: Jerry Stramowski
Title: Construction Manager
Bio: Jerry Stramowski, a fourth-year architecture student, graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, N.J. "Last semester I was the project manager of the Solar Decathlon team and this semester I am the construction manager. I am very excited to have such a major role in this project. It will be well worth all of our efforts to inform and educate the public on the future of solar and green homes."
   
Anca Tusinean Name: Anca Tusinean
Title: Team Leader - Roof Garden
Bio: Anca Tusinean, a third-year architecture student, has been involved with the Solar Decathlon since the beginning, participating in the design charrette and the first design development class. Anca is heading the design and development of the green roof, as well as all flora and fauna aspects of the home. She is a graduate of West Islip High School.
   
Matt Vecchione Name: Matt Vecchione
Title: Construction / Drafting
Bio: Matthew Vecchione, a second-year architecture student, is a carpenter with Northside Structures. A graduate of Macarthur High School in Levittown, N.Y., Matthew is part of the construction team for the solar house.
   
Michele Bertomen Name: Michele Bertomen
Title: Architecture Faculty Advisor
Bio: Michele Bertomen, an associate professor of architecture, is a founding member of Brooklyn Architects Collective, P.C. She earned a bachelor's degree in architecture at Cornell University.

Title: Architecture Faculty Advisor
Bio: Thomas Rochon received two bachelor's degrees -- architecture and architectural engineering --from the University of Miami. As an architect, he worked in Tunisia and designed numerous buildings for the Public Works Department and the Office of Tourism under the U.S. Peace Corps. He was an associate with Richard Moger FAIA, until he opened his SoHo office in 1976. Originally his company focused on recycling and rehabilitating old historic structures. He is co-founder of Fort Royal Foundation, Inc., a non-profit foundation specializing in preserving architecture and folklore of the Mohawk Valley, N.Y. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, International Association for the Study of Traditional Environments, and SoHo Community Council. He has been teaching at NYIT as an adjunct associate professor since 1977.
