Bio:

Following 15 years with Verizon, Karen has immersed herself in the Culinary Arts program at NYIT. She competes in culinary competitions and has earned scholarship awards for her efforts. Karen works with many area fund raising programs and events including NYIT's Long Island Works program.

Bio:

"Tony" has earned A.O.S. in Culinary Arts and a B.S. in Hospitality Management. He very much enjoys cooking and has been successful in his endeavors.  Tony is a passionate surfer that loves to cook his favorite pasta and chicken dishes for his wife. Currently in a NYIT work study program he enjoys his other hobbies which include watching movies and traveling.

Bio:

Lauren is currently completing a baccalaureate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, having previously earned associates degrees in both Culinary Arts and Fine Arts and. Lauren is a frequent and valued contributor for the Culinary Arts Center's many educational and community support programs. She hopes to combine her love of music, art and food into a successful and rewarding career.

Bio:

Rebekah is a Culinary Arts major. She interned this summer at Philadelphia 's Zanzibar Blue, learning and working closely with acclaimed Chef Albert Paris. After matriculation in May 2008 with a B.S. in Culinary Arts and Hospitality management, Rebekah plans on being a personal chef.

As an American Culinary Federation certified executive chef and certified Culinary educator, Chef Bruce has over 25 years experience in fine dining establishments throughout the northeast. For the past 10 years, he has nurtured our future food service professionals in the kitchens and classrooms of NYIT's Culinary Arts Center in both theory and practical application. Chef Bruce has provided recipe and product development, food styling, and developmental staff training services for many of the region's top healthcare, healthcare product, and food service delivery companies such as Squibb Pharmaceuticals, Hi-tech Pharmacal Health Care Products Co., Brentwood and Deer Park School Districts , and North Shore University Hospital / L.I.J. Healthcare systems.
