Progression: Press Room - About NYIT
For more than five decades, New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) has steadfastly held to its mission of providing career-oriented, professional education, access to opportunity for all qualified students, and support for applications-oriented research.
Although the college's mission has remained the same, NYIT's role has changed to one of global impact, with campuses in North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and online. NYIT offers baccalaureate, graduate, doctoral, and professional degrees through several schools, including:
• School of Architecture and Design;
• School of Education;
• School of Engineering and Computing Sciences;
• School of Health Professions, Behavioral, and Life Sciences;
• School of Management;
• College of Arts and Sciences; and
• New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
NYIT currently has 15,000 students from 93 countries and all 50 U.S. states attending its New York campuses and programs throughout the world. In addition, a robust online campus, Ellis College of NYIT, gives working professionals from every state and dozens of countries the opportunity to study as they maintain busy schedules.
NYIT's internationally recognized faculty members continue to participate in breakthrough research that impacts the technology, healthcare, and business fields. Furthermore, our carefully selected adjunct professors play a crucial role in sharing their real-world experiences with students, as well as providing direct links to global career opportunities.
The vast majority of NYIT students hold job offers in their respective fields upon graduation. And more than 69,000 NYIT alumni continue to make remarkable contributions in a variety of fields, from medicine to architecture to computer graphics.
