Dr. Scott X. Liu is Executive Director for Center of International Business Studies (CIBS) and Associate Dean for Global Programs in School of Management. He is largely responsible for the establishment of educational collaboration with Germany’s South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, and China’s Fuzhou University, Jinan University, Shanghai University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Tongji University, Xiamen University and so on.  Under his leadership CIBS has organized various conference and public events including a forum co-hosted with IBM for Wang Wenjing, Chairman and CEO of China’s largest software company UFIDA, the U.S.-China Trade forum with Dr. John Rultledge as the main speaker, and 2009 annual conference of the Academy of International Business (AIB) Northeastern. Dr. Liu’s research and publication are in the areas of foreign direct investment and multinational corporations, globalization, and multicultural management. He serves in the editorial board of several business journals and magazines including China Business Review. He has been serving as advisors and consultants for several major business firms and social institutions including such as World Bank, UNDP, William Nicholas Bodouva + Associates, GKV, China Grand Enterprise, Huajing Building Group, and A. Best Group.

Dr. Liu holds Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University, MBA from University of Akron, and Bachelor of Accounting from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. He has received numerous awards, including the Richard N Farmer 1993 Dissertation Competition Award of the Academy of International Business (AIB).
