Shipping Recycling Fees for California
Under the California Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 (known as SB20), retailers selling certain electronic products must now collect a recycling fee from California consumers at the time of purchase. This fee will automatically be added when checking out for applicable products being sold to California consumers only. This fee is used to foster the development of recycling opportunites and offsetting the cost of properly managing these types of products at the end of their useful lives.
