Other Information

I completed my Ph.D. from Binghamton University ( SUNY ) in the year 1998 under the guidance of Professor Thomas Farrell. My research work on `virtual signature' is a parallel to the study of 'virtual Euler characteristics' in Topology. Immediately, after my Ph D,  I used my thesis work to find a counterexample to the famous Trace Conjecture by field medalist Prof. Alan Connes and Prof. Paul Baum  in the area of K-Theory of C*-Algebras in Operator Algebras. My other papers cover topics in algebraic and differential topology,  and geometric group theory. I am working as a tenured Associate Professor at New York Institute of Technology. Prior to joining NYIT I taught as Visiting Assistant Professor at Millersville University, PA, year 1998-99 , and at Union College, NY, year 1999-2001.
